The Digital Revolution Awards, brought to you by Tenth Revolution Group, has been awarded Outstanding accreditation by the Awards Trust Mark, the highest level of recognition available through the Independent Awards Standards Council.
Having previously achieved Accredited status, the Digital Revolution Awards has now progressed to the top tier of the accreditation framework, demonstrating the strength of the processes behind the awards and our continued commitment to fairness, transparency and integrity.
For everyone who enters, judges or celebrates with us, that matters. It means the recognition attached to a Digital Revolution Award is backed by an independently assessed process designed to ensure entries are considered consistently, impartially and on merit.
What is the Awards Trust Mark?
The Awards Trust Mark is a not-for-profit accreditation programme run by the Independent Awards Standards Council. Its purpose is to strengthen trust between organizations running awards and the people and businesses entering them.
There are three levels of accreditation: Accredited, Advanced and Outstanding. Outstanding is the highest tier and includes all requirements from the Accredited and Advanced levels, while going further into detailed judging processes and the provision of entrant feedback.
Reaching the higher levels is not simply a matter of self-certification. Advanced and Outstanding applications are independently validated, including checks on an awards programme's processes and feedback from previous judges and entrants. The Awards Trust Mark currently requires positive responses from both judges and entrants as part of that validation.
For the Digital Revolution Awards, achieving Outstanding status required us to demonstrate the standards we follow throughout the awards journey, from nominations and shortlisting through to judging, feedback and the final selection of winners.
What it took to achieve Outstanding
Fair and independent judging
The credibility of any award starts with the people making the decisions.
Our judging process brings together more than 50 independent judges, all of whom are external to the organizing body. Shortlisting and winner decisions involve multiple judges rather than relying on the opinion of a single individual.
Conflicts of interest are also managed formally. Judges must declare relevant conflicts and are recused from discussions where appropriate, helping ensure professional or personal relationships cannot influence the outcome.
This independence is central to the trust we want every nominee to have in the Digital Revolution Awards.
Consistent and transparent scoring
A strong judging panel also needs a clear and consistent framework.
During the initial longlisting stage, judges review nominations within their allocated categories and rank their top five. Those rankings are converted into a standardized 5-4-3-2-1 scoring system before scores are aggregated across the panel to determine the shortlist.
Final winners are then selected through structured roundtable discussions involving independent judges. Panels are supported by a neutral moderator and proctor to ensure discussions remain consistent, every judge has the opportunity to contribute and the final decision is properly confirmed.
The result is a process designed to combine objective scoring with informed discussion, while reducing bias and inconsistency.
Properly prepared judges
Consistency also depends on every judge understanding exactly how the process should work.
Before judging begins, all Digital Revolution Awards judges receive a detailed briefing covering the scoring system, category criteria and how to identify and manage conflicts of interest.
Judges also take part in a mandatory live briefing session before evaluation begins. This provides an opportunity to reinforce the rules, align expectations across judging panels and resolve questions before nominations are assessed.
No judge begins evaluating entries without this preparation.
Transparency for entrants
Outstanding accreditation also looks beyond what happens inside the judging room.
Entrants need clear information about how an awards programme operates, including eligibility, dates, costs, judging processes and what happens after an entry is submitted.
The Digital Revolution Awards makes its entry criteria and judging process available publicly, with awards open to eligible individuals and organizations across the stated market without unwritten filtering based on factors such as company size, brand or perceived reputation.
We also make judging feedback available to entrants on request, giving participants the opportunity to understand how their submission was assessed and where they may be able to strengthen a future nomination.
That transparency is important because entering an award requires time, effort and trust. Entrants should know what they are being assessed against and have confidence that the same standards are being applied to everyone.
What our judges said
The accreditation process also sought independent feedback from people who have experienced the Digital Revolution Awards judging process first-hand.
One judge described the Awards as:

They highlighted the professionalism and care behind the process, adding that it helped ensure every entry was assessed thoughtfully and on merit.
Another experienced awards judge described our approach as:

They added that the strength of the process had given them the confidence to return as a judge year after year.
We also received feedback describing the Digital Revolution Awards as ‘exceptionally well organized’, with a structured approach designed to support fair and honest judging.
For us, that external validation is just as important as the accreditation itself. It reflects how the process feels to the people responsible for making some of its most important decisions.
Why this matters to nominees, finalists and winners
Awards recognition carries more weight when people can trust how that recognition was earned.
For nominees, Outstanding accreditation provides additional confidence that every submission is being considered against published criteria through a structured judging process.
For finalists, it means reaching the shortlist reflects the collective assessment of independent technology leaders.
For winners, it adds another layer of credibility to the achievement. A Digital Revolution Award is not simply recognition from the technology community, it comes from an awards programme independently accredited to the highest Awards Trust Mark level.
It matters to judges too. Clear governance around scoring, confidentiality and conflicts of interest allows them to focus on what should ultimately determine every result: the quality and impact of the work being recognized.
Research cited by the Awards Trust Mark reinforces why this is important. It found that perceived trust in an awards programme's judging process is one of the most influential factors for organizations deciding which awards to enter.
That is exactly why achieving Outstanding accreditation matters to us.
Raising the standard for 2027
We are proud to have progressed from Accredited to Outstanding, but we do not see this as the finish line.
The accreditation reflects the standards we are committed to maintaining as the Digital Revolution Awards continues to grow.
The Awards Trust Mark framework requires accredited programmes to continue operating in line with the processes they have committed to. Accreditation can be withdrawn if those standards are not maintained.
That accountability is important.
